Koger Center for the Arts

Gonzales Hall

Performance Day.

$1,700.00 for each performance held on the day. Rate includes the use of Dressing Rooms and Green Room, but not other spaces.
Non-Ticketed Events - $2,300.00 for each performance.
Load outs are not charged as extra hours.

$2,550.00 per day if immovable set occupies stage and prohibits other use.

Rehearsals held on stage on Friday evenings are charged at the Performance Day rate.

A non-refundable deposit of one-day's rent is required with all contracts.

An additional charge of 4% of gross ticket sales up to a maximum of $3,000.00 per performance is charged to cover the labour costs associated with ticket sales, ticket stock, and ticket outlet access.

Lessee is responsible for 3.5% credit card fees related to ticket sales.

The South Carolina State Admissions Tax of 5% will be deducted prior to settlement.

Rehearsal/Technical Work Day.

$850.00 for each four-hour block or part thereof up to eight (8) hours. After eight (8) hours, $200.00 per hour.

Friday rehearsals held on stage will be billed at $1,700.00.

Rehearsal hours are in minimums of four-hour blocks of time.

All staff labour will be billed as used.
(Applies to move in/out, set ups, technical and dress rehearsals.)



Labour Charges

Other Spaces

Large Rehearsal Room.

$325.00 for each two-hour block plus 30 minutes for set-up and 30 minutes for tear down.

$100.00 for each additional hour.

$40.00 per hour for technical/monitor support.

When set up and tear down are performed by Koger Center staff, user will be billed for the labour used.
The minimum call for such labour is two staff members, who each receive a minimum four hour call.

Small Rehearsal Room.

$250.00 for each two-hour block of time.

$90.00. for each additional hour.

$40 per hour for technical/monitor support.

When set up and tear down are performed by Koger Center staff, user will be billed for the labour used.
The minimum call for such labour is two staff members, who each receive a minimum four hour call.

Reception Room.

$350.00 for each two hour block. $120.00 per additional hour.



Additional Information

Catering.

The University of South Carolina has awarded Center Plate the exclusive right to manage the sale of food products and merchandise at the Koger Center. However, with approval in writing from Center Plate, visiting companies may use a caterer of their choicefood and beverage for banquets, dinners, receptions, etc. Such services must provided by a responsible, licensed and insured caterer and the Lessee is responsible for acquiring all necessary liquor, beer, and wine permits from the South Carolina ABC board if alcohol is to be sold. A licenced and insured caterer is required to serve alcohol at all times.

Out-of-Pocket Charges.

Users will be assessed all charges for labour, full time and part time, all equipment that is not in the inventory of the Koger Center and associated with the set-up, tear down, and running the event. Estimated charges, based on the information provided by the user at the time of contract, are shown on the SCHEDULE OF PAYMENT as a lump sum amount. Charges incurred for additional labour or items obtained by the Koger Center for the specific event, will be billed as an additional charge.

Novelty Items, Books, Tapes, Clothing etc.

The University of South Carolina has awarded Center Plate, Inc. the exclusive right to manage the sale of food products and merchandise at the Koger Center. Lessee shall notify the Koger Center Event Manager if it desires to have food products or merchandise sold at its event. The Event Manager will make the necessary arrangements with Center Plate. The sale of concessions in the Koger Center will be the sole responsibility of Center Plate, Inc. Center Plate, Inc. specifically reserves the right to any and all concessions, including but not limited to the, sale of confections, beverages, food, programs, souvenirs, novelties, and clothing.

Minimum Insurance Requirements.

The building user is required to provide an acceptable certificate of insurance under a public liability policy in which the Koger center is named as an additional insured. The minimum policy limits required are:

$1,000,000 for injuries, including death sustained by one person.
$1,000,000 for injuries, including death sustained by two or more persons.
$250,000 for property damage.
